Business process automation that
removes the manual handoffs.
Every growing business has processes held together by copy-paste, reminders, and one person who knows how it works. Automating the wrong step only makes the mess faster.
We map the real workflow, remove what should not exist, automate the rest, and measure the hours and errors saved. Where a workflow engine is the right tool - n8n, Make, or a native API - we build on it, document it, and hand it over. One live workflow beats a twelve-month programme.
What you get
- ✓A ranked automation backlog with payback estimates
- ✓One live workflow, not another pilot deck
- ✓Monitoring, a runbook, and a named internal owner
Fixed scope before work begins. Senior delivery, not a handoff.
Quick answer
Business process automation uses integration, workflow tools, RPA, and AI to execute repetitive processes with less manual effort. Spurto starts with process discovery, prioritises by payback, and delivers live workflows with exception handling, monitoring, and SOPs. Most projects run 4–12 weeks and target payback inside 12 months.
Where the manual work shows up
The same data is entered into two or three systems.
Someone exports an Excel file, edits it, and emails it back every week.
Onboarding depends on a WhatsApp group and a shared drive.
Invoice or order processing consumes days each month.
Reports are out of date by the time they are read.
Growth means hiring more people for the same manual work.
What we automate, and how
Process discovery
Interviews, observation, and a baseline for time, cost, and error rate. We map the real process, not the org chart version.
Prioritisation
Candidates scored on volume, rules, digital inputs, exception clarity, and payback. If payback is beyond 12 months, we say so.
Future-state design
Happy path, exception paths, controls, ownership, and a manual fallback. The exception path is the process.
Build
API integration, workflow automation, document AI, and RPA only where no API exists. The simplest technique that works.
Test and launch
Volume, failure recovery, rollback, SOP, and training. We break it deliberately before your customers do.
Measure and improve
A 30-day tuning period, an ROI report, and the next ranked backlog. The automation becomes a managed asset, not a script.
How an automation project runs
Discover
Three to five days of process interviews and system review. Output: a current-state map and baseline metrics.
Prioritise
Score by volume, effort, risk, and payback. Output: a ranked automation backlog with a clear first project.
Design
Future-state workflow, exception paths, controls, and ownership. Output: an automation design document.
Build
Integration, workflow, AI step, and a small UI only where needed. Output: working automation in staging.
Launch and measure
Training, SOP, monitoring, rollback plan, and a 30-day review. Output: a live automation and an ROI report.
What you walk away with
| Deliverable | Format | Decision it enables |
|---|---|---|
| Current-state process map | Map + baseline | Where time and errors sit |
| Automation backlog | Scored list | What to do first |
| Future-state design | Workflow + exception paths | How it will run |
| Working automation | Integrated workflow | The manual work that disappears |
| Runbook and SOP | Operating document | What to do when it fails |
| ROI report | 30-day review | Whether it paid back |
Who this is for
Businesses with 20–500 employees and visible manual bottlenecks
Operations teams processing high volumes of documents, orders, or requests
Companies preparing to scale without proportional headcount
Teams that tried RPA or workflow tools and ended up with fragile scripts
NBFCs and financial services firms with onboarding, collections, or reporting processes
Not for
- —A process with no standard, no owner, and no agreement on what good looks like.
- —A one-off task that is cheaper to do manually than to automate.
- —A process that should be eliminated rather than automated. We will tell you.
Things buyers usually ask
Which process should we automate first?
Pick a process with high volume, clear rules, digital inputs, and a measurable cost of delay. It should also have one owner who can define exceptions. We run a short opportunity scan and score candidates by payback and feasibility. The first project should be visible, low-risk, and live in under eight weeks.
What is the difference between BPA and RPA?
BPA is the broader discipline of automating a process using integration, workflow, rules, and AI. RPA is one technique: software robots interacting with systems that have no API. Modern BPA starts with APIs and workflows, and uses RPA only where a legacy system leaves no other option.
Do we need to replace our ERP?
Usually not. Most automation connects the systems you already have. If the ERP is the bottleneck, we may recommend a health check or a targeted integration instead of replacement. Replacing a core system is a bigger decision, and it should not be smuggled in as an automation project.
What does business process automation cost?
A focused automation is scoped as a fixed project, with tool subscriptions shown separately. We build a costed business case before build, including the hours saved and the running cost. If the payback is longer than twelve months, we will say so rather than sell the project.
What happens when the automation fails?
Every workflow includes error handling, alerts, retry logic, and a manual fallback. The runbook names the owner, the trigger, the dependencies, and the recovery steps. We also train an internal owner so the process does not stop when a consultant is unavailable.
Can you automate WhatsApp and email?
Yes. We commonly build workflows that capture enquiries or documents from WhatsApp, email, and web forms, validate the data, route it into CRM or ERP, and notify the right person. Consent and data-retention rules are designed into the flow. The same applies to document collection.
Who owns the automation after launch?
You do. We hand over the workflow definitions, credentials under your control, the runbook, and the training. If you want ongoing monitoring and enhancements, we offer a support retainer, but the automation is not designed to make you dependent on us.
