Digital transformation that
changes how the business runs.
Most transformation programmes fail for an unglamorous reason: they start with a purchase and never define the operating change. Six projects, no owner, no baseline, no measure.
We run transformation from the process outward - what changes, who owns it, what it is worth, and how progress gets measured. The technology follows the operating model, not the other way round.
What you get
- βOne roadmap tied to a costed business case
- βA programme that reports real status, not vendor optimism
- βEvidence of adoption, not just a go-live date
Fixed scope before work begins. Senior delivery, not a handoff.
Quick answer
Digital transformation consulting connects business strategy to a sequenced change programme across process, systems, data, automation, and adoption. Spurto starts with a diagnostic and a costed business case, then provides the roadmap, programme governance, vendor oversight, and adoption support to deliver it. Engagements run 3β12 months.
Why transformation programmes stall
Several digital projects run in parallel with no shared plan.
A new ERP or CRM is live, but the old spreadsheets remain.
Every department has its own tools and its own version of the truth.
The business case was approved, but benefits are not tracked.
Vendors report progress; nobody independently verifies it.
Growth requires more headcount because processes do not scale.
What we take responsibility for
Transformation diagnostic
Current state across process, systems, data, and skills, with a baseline for cost, cycle time, and error rates.
Business case and prioritisation
Value, risk, dependency, and sequence. We also produce a stop-list: work that should not continue.
Target operating model
How work will flow after the change, including roles, decision rights, service levels, and handoffs.
Roadmap and programme design
A 12β24 month plan in waves, with dependencies, budget, governance, and a live RAID log.
Delivery oversight
Vendor management, milestone assurance, issue resolution, and a steering cadence that surfaces bad news early.
Adoption and measurement
Role-based training, SOPs, benefit tracking, and a post-launch review that tells you whether the change held.
From diagnosis to a measured outcome
Diagnose
Two to four weeks of interviews, system and data review, and process observation. Output: a baseline and a short list of constraints.
Prioritise
Score initiatives by value, feasibility, risk, and dependency. Output: a funded sequence and a stop-list.
Design
Target operating model, technology architecture, business case, and governance. Output: a plan a board can approve.
Deliver
We lead or oversee delivery in waves, manage vendors, and report status against milestones and benefits.
Measure
Adoption, cycle time, cost, and benefit realisation are reviewed quarterly. Output: evidence, and a decision on what comes next.
What you walk away with
| Deliverable | Format | Decision it enables |
|---|---|---|
| Transformation diagnostic | Report + baseline | Where the value and the drag are |
| Costed business case | Financial model | Which projects get funded |
| Target operating model | Process, roles, decision rights | How the business will run |
| Roadmap | 12β24 month plan | Sequence, dependencies, and budget |
| Programme dashboard | Status, risks, benefits | Where to intervene |
| Adoption and benefits report | Post-launch review | Whether the change held |
Who this is for
Businesses between roughly βΉ50 crore and βΉ500 crore revenue with several systems and projects
Promoter-led firms professionalising finance, operations, and technology together
Companies that have implemented an ERP or CRM and are not getting the value
PE- or VC-backed businesses that need a credible first-100-days plan
Groups with multiple business units, branches, or acquired companies
Not for
- βA single tool selection. Use the technology strategy service instead.
- βA website, app, or software build with no operating change attached.
- βA business that wants a strategy deck without delivery ownership.
Things buyers usually ask
What is the difference between digital transformation and digitisation?
Digitisation converts a paper or manual process into a digital one. Digital transformation changes how the business operates: roles, decision rights, data flows, systems, and measures. Buying software is digitisation. Changing the operating model around it is transformation. The distinction matters because software alone rarely changes a number.
Where should we start?
Start with a short diagnostic and a baseline. We look at where time, cost, and customer experience leak, then pick two or three changes with a clear financial case. A transformation programme that begins with a tool purchase usually ends with unused licences.
How long does a transformation programme take?
Most engagements run three to twelve months, delivered in waves. The first measurable win should land within 90 days. A multi-year roadmap is normal, but it should be funded and reviewed in shorter cycles, with a stop-list for work that no longer earns its place.
How do you measure success?
We agree the baseline and the measures before work starts: cycle time, cost per transaction, error rate, adoption, revenue enabled, and benefit realised. Progress is reported against those numbers, not against activities completed. Vendors report milestones; we verify outcomes. If a measure cannot be baselined, we choose a different one.
Will this replace our team?
No. Transformation changes what people do, not whether they are needed. Roles move from manual coordination to exception handling, customer work, and process ownership. We design the new roles explicitly and train for them rather than pretending the change is only technical.
Do you work with our existing vendors?
Yes. We can manage existing implementation partners, hold them to milestones, and resolve disputes. Where a change of vendor is warranted, we run an independent evaluation. We do not earn referral fees, so the recommendation is not tied to a partner.
What does a transformation engagement cost?
Fees depend on scope, duration, and how much delivery oversight you need. Diagnostics are fixed-fee and credited against implementation if you proceed within 60 days. We provide a written scope and fee before work begins, and we will say when a smaller engagement is the better buy.
